    A mechanical alarm clock is a type of mechanical clock that mainly uses a spring as power, hence also known as a mechanical spring alarm clock. The structure of a mechanical alarm clock is divided into five parts: the primary drive system, the transmission system, the escapement speed controller, the upper pin system, and the pointer system

    1. Prime mover system

    The power structure is a mechanism for storing and transmitting working energy, consisting of a box wheel, a box cover, a shaft, a spring, and an outer hook of the spring. When winding, the shaft is rotated and the spring is tightly wound onto the shaft by the upper needle system. The elastic effect of the spring causes the box wheel to rotate, thereby driving the transmission system.

    2. Transmission system

    It is a set of transmission gears that can transfer the energy of the original drive system to the escapement speed controller, consisting of two wheels (center wheel), three wheels (passing wheel), four wheels (second wheel), and the escapement gear shaft. The shape of the gear in the transmission system is generally based on the principle of theoretical cycloidal gears, and the modified cycloidal tooth shape is made after correction.

    3. Escapement governor

    It consists of two parts: the escapement mechanism and the vibration system. By relying on the periodic vibration of the vibration system, the escapement mechanism maintains precise and regular intermittent motion, thereby playing a speed regulating role. There are many types of escapement speed controllers, and generally mechanical alarm clocks use fork tile escapement mechanisms, which are composed of escapement wheels, escapement forks, double discs, and limit nails.

    4. Upper needle system

    It is composed of a handle head, a shaft, a vertical wheel, a clutch wheel, a clutch rod, a clutch rod spring, a gear shift, a pressure spring, a needle shift wheel, a cross wheel, a timing wheel, a dividing wheel, a large steel wheel, a small steel wheel, a pawl, a pawl spring, and other parts, which play a role in correcting the clockwise and minute hands.

    5. Pointer system

    A needle like object that indicates time, the energy of the spring is transmitted to the escapement speed controller through the original motion system, and then driven by the upper needle mechanism to move the pointer, thereby indicating time
